El Mallah Bay, why did we say El Mallah Bay and not Bab al-Mallah, because it is not a historic gate, but rather an opening that opened in the historic Andalusian wall that bordered the medina from its eastern facade of Bab al-Hadd aboard Sidi Makhlouf.
This bay was opened in the twenties of the last century at the time of the protectorate in order to facilitate access from the old to the new mallah in particular, and from the medina to the new modern European city in general.
